Hyperbaric Therapy: A Beneficial Aid for Ulcerative Colitis and Psoriasis
I have lived with ulcerative colitis for 34 years. In the early stages, I received treatment from medical doctors and was hospitalized on and off several times during the first few years. After five years of relying on steroids and other medications, I sought out an alternative nutritionist—and their support made a significant difference. Since then, I have remained mostly in remission, though I still experience a flare-up every couple of years. Typically, it takes several months for each flare-up to fully resolve.
This summer, my husband and I started hyperbaric therapy. When I began the treatment, I was already noticing the early signs of a colitis flare-up. As is usual with my condition, the symptoms worsened over the first couple of weeks before gradually starting to improve.

I used to have dandruff on my shoulders nearly every day—now, that’s a rare occurrence!
